Gymnastics schedules

Level 1 gymnastics is an introductory level that teaches gymnasts the basics of the sport. It involves simple routines and skills that build the foundation for more advanced skills at higher levels. Some skills gymnasts learn at Level 1 include:

  • Cartwheels

  • Round-offs

  • Basic vault skills

  • Jumps on the beam

  • Handstand and fall onto a flat back

  • Underswing bar dismount

  • Cast

  • Arabesque to 30 degrees on the beam

  • Stretch jump on the beam

  • Backward roll

gymnastics 2

Level 2 gymnastics is an optional, beginner, or recreational level in gymnastics. Gymnasts at this level are often young and still learning the sport. Some skills that gymnasts may need to learn at level 2 include:

  • Glide swing on the bars

  • Back hip circle on the bars

  • Cartwheel to side handstand dismount on the beam

  • Handstand for at least one second

  • Bridge with kickover

  • Jump to front support mount

  • Arabesque to 30 degrees

  • Stretch jump

  • Half-pivot turn
